ABOUT US
Bitten is headed by Nadia Barbarossa, with over 20 years of experience in the film industry in Puerto Rico.
Nadia has provided production and consulting services to several projects filmed in Puerto Rico for Marvel Studios, Warner Bros, Amazon, Netflix, National Geographic, 20th Century Studios, among others studios and streaming platforms.
Some of Nadia’s producing credits are the fiction films The Last Tour and Midnight Sun, and the non-fiction films Cockfights: The Last Season, Worldwater, Mothers of our Land, Our Island Our Enchantment, Cuba and PR Are, Juan Meléndez 6446 and Vietnam Diary.
As Film Program Manager for the Puerto Rico Film Commission and Corp (2009-2014), she handled more than $122 million in tax credit applications, audits and certifications provided by the Government of Puerto Rico to film studios and independent producers. She was also the government’s executive-in-charge of production and government funding of over ten local features and documentaries.
She started her career as a production coordinator for National Geographic Television and Film in Washington D.C.
Nadia holds a BA in Public Communications with a concentration in Journalism from the University of Puerto Rico, and completed her graduate work in Public History with a concentration in Documentary Filmmaking and Cultural History at American University in Washington D.C.
